Easy Homemade Basil Pesto

Ingredients

basil

cup
Parmesan cheese, grated
(or romano cheese)

pine nuts
(or walnuts, almonds)

large garlic clove
(quartered)

salt

olive oil
Instructions
Add basil and 1 tsp of oil into a food processor and blend until smooth.
As it blends, slowly add the rest of the ingredients, and scrape the sides as needed. Blend until smooth.
NOTE: leftover pesto sauce can be either refrigerated for a couple of days, or you can freeze it for further use.
