Ginger Hot Chocolate Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup any plant-based milk (I used cashew milk)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar (or any other granulated sugar)
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • vegan whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan start heating the water and the milk. When it starts to bubble, whisk in the honey or maple syrup, coconut sugar, ginger, cocoa, and salt until combined.
  • Remove from heat after 2-3 minutes and add the vanilla.
  • Pour it in a mug and top with vegan whipped cream. Serve immediately!
