Improve Your Sleep with This Ginger Hot Chocolate Drink
Struggling with sleep at night? I have to admit, for the past couple of nights I’ve been having a really hard time to fall asleep. Then, I remembered this amazing recipe from my grandma. She used to drink this ginger hot chocolate every night before going to bed, and she never complained about her sleep.

I tried making this drink and it turned out so good! I ended up making it twice in on day, that’s how good it is!
Not to mention it calms you down, comforts your soul, and prepares you for a good night sleep! If you are someone who has sleeping problems, I recommend you to try and drink this before going to bed!
Ginger Hot Chocolate Drink
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 1 cup any plant-based milk (I used cashew milk)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp coconut sugar (or any other granulated sugar)
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- vegan whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan start heating the water and the milk. When it starts to bubble, whisk in the honey or maple syrup, coconut sugar, ginger, cocoa, and salt until combined.
- Remove from heat after 2-3 minutes and add the vanilla.
- Pour it in a mug and top with vegan whipped cream. Serve immediately!
