In a large, deep bowl, add all the dry ingredients (top 4 ingredients in the list above) and mix.
In a separate bowl, add all the liquid ingredients (the rest of the ingredients listed above) and stir again until combined.
Add the liquid mixture from the bowl to the dry mixture and stir it well until all the lumps that appear will be combined and evened out. Leave the mixture to set for 10-15 minutes until it thickens. Meanwhile, heat the waffle maker and spread it nicely with oil.
Add a few tablespoons of the mixture to the waffle maker (enough for one waffle) and cover. Fry for about 8-10 minutes (depending on the strength of the appliance)
When the waffle is ready, take it out and leave it on a plate to cool a bit. Repeat the procedure with the remaining mixture. Do not fold the hot waffles on top of each other so that they do not soften.They are served hot with additional toppings if desired or kept in a closed container, in the refrigerator.
