The Best Guilt-Free Fudgy Date Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates pitted
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Soak the dates by pouring hot water and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
  • Drain the water from the dates, add them to a blender or food processor and process until you get a smooth texture.
  • Add the almond flour, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla and sea salt to the food processor or blender. Process again until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Spread the mixture into an 8x8-inch pan, greased with coconut oil.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes. Allow it to cool before cutting.
  • They can last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
