3 Infused Waters For A Metabolism Boost & Optimal Hydration

Eating a well balanced diet with fruits and veggies included is very important, but you know what’s crucial? Hydration!

If you get bored drinking regular water, or if you simply need some extra infusion, these recipes will do the trick. Spice up your water with some fruits and herbs, and flavor combinations to get amazing infused water for every day.

Once I started experiencing with different infused water flavors, I realized there is really no end to the various combinations. You can get creative and make your own favorite combinations.

Here are three of my favorite infused water recipes for optimal hydration!

1. Apple Cinnamon Detox Water

Servings 8

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cups of ice (enough to fill a pitcher halfway)
  • enough water to fill a 1/2 gallon of water

Instructions

  • Add the apple and cinnamon stick into the pitcher, add ice on top, and fill the pitcher with water.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so that the flavors can meld.
  • As you drink the water, you can continue to add water to the pitcher as the flavors will continue to meld.

2. Strawberry Lemon Basil Detox Water

Servings 8

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced
  • handful of basil (6-8 leaves scrunched in your hand)
  • 3 cups ice, enough to fill a pitcher halfway
  • enough purified water to fill a 1/2-gallon pitcher

Instructions

  • Add the strawberries, lemon, and basil into the pitcher, add the ice, and fill it with purified water.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the flavors can meld.
  • As you drink your water you can continue adding more water as the flavors will continue to meld.

3. Grapefruit & Rosemary Detox Water

Servings 8

Ingredients

  • 1/2 unpeeled grapefruit, sliced
  • 2-4 springs rosemary
  • 3 cups ice, enough to fill a pitcher halfway
  • enough purified water to fill a ½-gallon pitcher

Instructions

  • Add the grapefruit and rosemary in a pitcher, add ice, and fill it with purified water.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the flavors can meld.
  • As you drink your water you can continue adding more water as the flavors will continue to meld.
