Healthy Crunchy Seed Crackers You Can Eat Guilt-Free

Published

on

These salty crunchy seed crackers are suitable for everyone’s taste, they taste like some of the most delicious biscuits, but salty 😊

They can be eaten in many different varieties. With fresh vegetables and some cheese, just yogurt, hummus or some of your favorite spreads. 3-4 in combination with some of the above are enough for a great and balanced breakfast.

My husband always wants me to make these crackers and snacks on them with some beer, while my kids snack on them throughout the whole day, really.

They are super easy to make, just combine everything together, bake them and enjoy them when they chill. YUM!

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings 100 crackers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup ground sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup spelt flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 cup oat flour (or rye flour)
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 2/3 cup sparkling water
  • Himalayan sea salt
  • dry oregano (optional, to taste)
  • dry paprika (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and line a baking tray with some parchment paper.
  • In a deep bowl, first mix the dry parts and spices. When you mix everything together add the water and olive oil and continue mixing, now you can continue by hand. It is necessary to get a thick mixture that does not stick to the hands, which you can pull out into a crust with a rolling pin.
  • So you can play with the ingredients, if the mixture is too thick add a little more sparkling water, if it is a bit liquid add a little flour.
  • When you make a thin crust, using a mold take out the desired shapes. From this quantity I got 100 crackers the size of the pictures above.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes. Leave them to cool down for about 10 minutes and they are ready to serve.
