Quick & Easy Rye Lavender Butter Cookies
These delicious cookies are extra easy to prepare, from only 3 ingredients because lavender is optional, if you think it’s too heavy you can replace it with cinnamon or ginger powder.

So far I have used lavender only for cosmetic purposes, but yesterday my mother accidentally mentioned that she once made some lavender cakes that were incredibly good.
I rolled up my sleeves, prepared the recipe to see if they would be really beautiful 😊
I am 100% sure you’ll absolutely love these cookies, they’re crispy, aromatic and irresistible, and I used only three ingredients and lavender. Here is the recipe.
Quick & Easy Rye Lavender Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups rye flour
- 2/3 cups butter
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh lavender leaves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and line a baking tray with some parchment paper.
- Mix the butter and honey with a mixer to combine well, then slowly add the flour and lavender leaves. When all the ingredients are well combined, make a large ball and leave it in the fridge for about 1 hour. Then pull out a thin crust with a rolling pin and use small cake tins to take out the desired shapes.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes. Let it cool for about 5 minutes and the cookies are ready to be served.

They are really easy and very good, I challenge you to try them!
The good thing is that they are dry, so you can make a larger quantity and have it for more days. They are great for breakfast with coffee, but also for energy throughout the day.
