Low-Carb Flaxseed Pizza Recipe (Crunchy & Delicious)

Published

on

The dough of this low carb pizza, if I may call it dough, is without flour, without milk and without eggs. Actually only from flaxseed, chia, water and spices.

You can modify the pizza filling according to your taste.

I will write you the recipe below for the toppings I put.

The pizza was phenomenal, incredibly tasty and most importantly nutritious. You’ll feel that crunchiness and almost forget you are eating a flaxseed pizza 🙂

It is great if you practice low carb (keto diet) because there are almost no carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates, although not zero, are still complex carbohydrates, not simple sugars.

Flaxseed is a very good source of calcium so with one slice of this pizza you will meet your daily calcium needs.

In addition, the amount of fiber also meets the daily needs for fiber (25 g per day is recommended for optimal work of the gastrointestinal tract).

This pizza is great if you have trouble emptying your bowels.

Low-Carb Flaxseed Pizza Recipe

Servings 3 pizzas

Ingredients

CRUST:

  • 1 1/3 cup flax seeds
  • 1/3 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • seasonings of choice

TOPPINGS:

  • tomato puree
  • oregano
  • boiled red lentils
  • mushrooms
  • mozzarella cheese
  • chilli flakes

Instructions

  • I prepared the dough by first blending the flaxseed and chia seeds in a blender. They need to be finely ground, then add the spices and finally the water. You will get a ball that you can pull out into a thin crust with the help of a rolling pin.
I made circles with a pot lid, but you can use any mold you like.
Finally, line up and put in the oven at 400 degrees F. This pizza is a real treat. Enjoy!
