The HEALTHIEST Fig Cake You Can Eat Guilt-Free
I do not know if there is anyone who prefers figs more than me! I hadn’t made a cake or anything like that in a long time, so last night at 12 am I craved something sweet but healthy, so I rolled up my sleeves and created this amazingly good cake.
The whole house smelled so beautiful and aromatic… ..mmmm I have no words.
It is easy to prepare, just mix everything, bake and there is the cake.
There is no sugar, only the one that is in the fruit. Finally, if you lack some extra sweetness, add 1 tablespoon of honey on top after baking.

The HEALTHIEST Fig Cake You Can Eat Guilt-Free
Ingredients
- 1 cup soaked dates (or use fresh medjool dates)
- 3-4 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 tbsp buckwheat flour
- 4 tbsp oats
- 4 tbsp whole wheat flour
- 6 fresh figs
- honey and nut butter on top optional
Instructions
- Blend the dates and eggs first in a blender to combine with the eggs, then continue to mix the mixture with a mixer at the highest speed. Add yogurt, coconut oil and vanilla to this mixture. Stir until you get a homogeneous mixture. Finally slowly add the flour, oats and baking powder, mix again with the mixer, but now on low speed.
- Chop the figs into cubes and add them to the mixture last. Do not mix with a mixer but with a spoon to stay whole.Pour the cake into a baking tray, that you have previously coated little with coconut oil so that it does not stick when taken out. You can also bake on parchment paper. My tray was a cube measuring 9x9 inch.Bake it for 10-15 minutes at 350˚F and then for another 10 minutes at 320˚F.
- Finally, when it is baked and it cools down a bit, you can put 1 tablespoon of honey on top of it, which will be slowly absorbed and will penetrate inside the cake.I also added homemade hazelnut butter - a perfection of flavors.
