THE HEALTHIEST Tahini Brownies You Can Eat Guilt-Free

Published

on

My famous tahini brownies finally got their place on the blog. One of my and my family favorite and definitely the dessert you want to prepare if you want to impress someone 🙂

In these brownies we use tahini as the main ingredient, cocoa, eggs and coconut flour that will help to combine the mixture nicely. They are sweetened with honey or my favorite healthy sweetener, and the raspberries on top fit perfectly and give freshness to the whole cake. Of course, you can omit the raspberries and add toppings of your own choice, or leave it plain. You can add nuts like hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, etc., you can add chocolate pieces or coconut etc.

Coconut flour can be replaced with oatmeal or some other flour by keeping in mind that you may need to add a little more because coconut flour is quite absorbent.

Honey can certainly be replaced with other sweeteners such as coconut sugar, brown sugar (although I do not really like it as a healthy version), date syrup, agave syrup, maple syrup and the like.

Be careful of the tahini you use. Since it is the main ingredient in these brownies, make sure you buy a good quality tahini made 100% from sesame seeds.

Otherwise, these brownies are gluten-free, vegetarian, without added sugar and the most delicious you’ll ever try. You can enjoy them without any guilt and once again enjoy tasty food prepared with the healthiest ingredients.

THE HEALTHIEST Tahini Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tahini
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour (or oat flour)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 handful of fresh or frozen raspberries (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350º F and line a baking pan with parchment paper. I used a 8 × 8 baking pan.
  • In a large deep bowl, add all the liquid ingredients and mix well until combined and a liquid, creamy texture is obtained. If the honey is very thick and you have difficulty stirring, use a mixer.
  • Add all other ingredients (excluding raspberries) to this mixture. Stir again. The mixture should be thick and sticky.
  • Pour the mixture to the baking pan and level evenly. If you use raspberries, they are distributed on the surface of the mixture and gently pressed. If you use other toppings also now is the time to add them.
  • Bake the brownies for 20-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into pieces.

What do you think of this recipe? I challenge you to try these delicious brownies, you won’t go wrong!
