This Creamy Berry Buckwheat Porridge Will Become Your Staple Breakfast

Published

on

Buckwheat porridge has a pleasant sweet taste (like nuts) and these oats are rich in nutrients. They are rich in fiber, protein, niacin, amino acids and vitamin D.

In addition, they contain a lot of potassium, phosphorus, iron and calcium.

There’s no reason not to enjoy them more often and switch from the classic oatmeal porridges every once in a while. Actually, when it comes to this recipe, I believe you are never going back to classic oatmeal porridge once you try this creamy berry buckwheat porridge.

Creamy Berry Buckwheat Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 100 g buckwheat flakes (1/2 cup)
  • 150 ml of water (1/2 cup)
  • 100 ml of almond milk (1/3 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • a handful of frozen berries (I used blueberries)

Preparation:

Put water and milk in a saucepan and heat them. Add the buckwheat oats and stir so they don’t stick to the bottom. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir nicely.

When the mixture starts to thicken, remove from the plate. The longer you keep it on the plate, the thicker the porridge will be, so have this in mind and prepare it depending on your preferences.

Pour the mixture into a bowl, place fresh or frozen berries on top and enjoy!
