Detoxing & Cleansing Watermelon Lemonade

Watermelon lemonade is one of my favorite ways to refresh throughout the day and cleanse my whole organism. This recipe is super easy to make, and it tastes amazing. Once you try it out, you’ll definitely want to impress your friends when you relax on your patio or on a hot summer day by the pool.

This is the original recipe, but of course, you can modify it, add more flavors, or even spice it up with some vodka and make it a nice refreshing cocktail!

Watermelon is a must on my summer grocery list, I like to eat it raw, add it to smoothies and juices, and make this nice detoxing watermelon lemonade almost every day!

Detoxing & Cleansing Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups watermelon (cubed)
  • 3 large lemons (juiced)
  • 3-4 cups water
  • ice cubes (around 3-4 cups)

SYRUP:

  • 1/3 cup sugar (or more, depending on taste)
  • 1/3 cup water (or more, depending on taste)

Instructions

  • Make the syrup first so it has enough time to cool.
  • Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan, bring it to a boil and remove from heat. Cool completely before adding to the lemonade.
  • Blend watermelon in a blender until smooth. Use a mesh strainer to strain it, and discard the pulp.
  • Fill a 2 quart container halfway with ice.
  • Add the watermelon juice, lemon juice and the syrup.
  • Add water. Taste and adjust the flavoring accordingly.
