Delicious Sardine and Avocado Spread (Low-Calorie, High-Protein)

If you are thinking about what to prepare for dinner, and you want it to be healthy, tasty and fast, I am here to help.

Here is an interesting and quick recipe that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and proteins – Sardine and avocado spread.

I usually serve this spread with some gluten-free crackers, I add it on salads, or my favorite recipe – sliced cucumbers and a teaspoon of this sardine and avocado spread on top! Looks amazing and inviting, plus it tastes great!

Delicious Sardine and Avocado Spread

Ingredients

  • 2 cans sardine
  • 1/2 avocado (make sure it's exta soft!)
  • 3 tsp lemon juice
  • 2-3 garlic cloves (peeled, chopped)
  • chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil and add the garlic. Fry briefly, the garlic needs to soften and get a pleasant smell. Leave it to cool while you prepare the other ingredients.
  • Cut the avocado into cubes and add it in a blender together with the sardines, lemon juice, chili flakes and fried garlic. Blend until you get a nice creamy mixture. Store the spread in a glass container and store in the refrigerator.
