Published

on

Snickers balls are for many the first association to sweet snacks. But imagine that you can make these sweet and tasty balls in a very simple and fast way at home and reach for them whenever you want! Plus, eat them without the guilt of adding extra pounds!

It is possible and quite perfect!

These snickers balls are high in protein, so you can eat them pre-workout, or whenever you feel like you need some extra energy boost.

High Protein Snickers Balls

Ingredients (for about 26 balls):

  • 120 g protein brownies (sugar-free)
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 50 g unsalted, unroasted chopped peanuts (+ 80g for decoration)
  • 150 g dark chocolate (80%)

Preparation:

  1. Crush the protein brownies well in a bowl. Add peanut butter and 50 g of chopped peanuts, and combine everything well with your hands into a compact mixture. The mixture has a slightly crumbly structure, but don’t let that scare you. If it’s just too crumbly, add a little more peanut butter.
  2. Immediately shape the mixture into balls, without cooling. Grab a piece of the mixture and shape with your hands. Roll them in melted dark chocolate, drain well with two forks, and then roll in peanuts. Place on baking paper and when you have finished the same process with all the balls, put them to cool for about half an hour to squeeze the chocolate. Serve.
  3. The balls taste irresistibly reminiscent of snickers, hence the name!
