Homemade Sweet Sesame Crisps
Today we bring you something very simple and extremely tasty. These crisps can be eaten by anyone who is sensitive to gluten, but also by those who avoid dairy products.
If you are on a paleo diet, replace the rice flour in the recipe with coconut flour. The crisps will be slightly softer, but still equally delicious.
If you are a fan of sesame, you will love these crisps!
Homemade Sweet Sesame Crisps
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 70 g tahini paste
- 2-3 tablespoons of honey or some other sweetener as desired
- 3 tablespoons rice flour
- 35 grams of sesame seeds
- A pinch of baking powder
- Vanilla extract, optional
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix egg, honey, tahini and vanilla extract until you get a uniform mixture.
- Add flour and a pinch of baking powder. Again mix everything well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the sesame seeds and stir again.
- Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet covered with baking paper, leaving enough space between them. Shape into round cookies.
- The mixture may be a little sticky and inconvenient to work with, but using a silicone spatula can help a lot.
- Garnish with more sesame seeds on top if desired.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Watch out for these sweet crisps, as they are quite thin and can burn easily.
- Allow them to cool completely before removing them from the paper because while they are warm they could still be a little sticky so they can crack. Enjoy!
