Healthy Balanced and Delicious Smoothie for Breakfast

When it comes to smoothies, I see many recipes where lots of sugary fruits are added and these smoothies are considered “healthy”.

While fruits are super healthy, and you should include them regularly, you should also have in mind that adding 4 or 5 fruit types into one smoothie is not considered balanced or the healthiest option.

That’s why many smoothies don’t keep you full even for half an hour – the main reason is they are not balanced and contain only several nutrients that are most certainly not enough to satisfy your daily nutrient intake.

Don’t get me wrong, if you want to make a fruity smoothie just because you like it, go ahead and do that. Better consume a fruit smoothie than fast-food, but if you want a balanced breakfast with all nutrients to keep you full for longer and help you with weight loss, then consider these several things:

protein + carbs + fat – these are the three key nutrients you should include in every balanced meal. In the recipe below, I will show you my example of a balanced smoothie that is both healthy and delicious, and you can adapt it according to the ingredients you have at home.

Once you adapt to this way of preparing your smoothies, you will for sure notice a different, either in your gut, you’ll notice pounds decreasing, or maybe even energy boost throughout the day. Once you start making balanced smoothies, you will start experimenting with flavors and find your favorite, plus, you’ll have a different balanced smoothie every day!
