Healthy Vanilla Cake Protein Bites for Weight Loss

Have you ever tasted something that instantly brought you back to your childhood? That’s exactly what happened when I tried these vanilla cake protein bites. I thought: “These definitely remind me of cake batter, actually VANILLA CAKE!”

These vanilla cake bites are made with wholesome ingredients, so you can eat them guilt-free.

Especially if you are trying to lose weight, or simply be mindful of your eating habits, you should definitely consider giving these vanilla cake bites a try!

Healthy Vanilla Cake Protein Bites

Servings 20 bites

Ingredients

  • 3 cups almond meal (if you don't have at home, make your own: process 3 cups of raw almonds in a food processor)
  • 3/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 3 tbsp coconut butter (optional, as frosting)

Instructions

  • In a big bowl add the almond meal, coconut flakes, coconut sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine.
  • The mixture should be ideal for forming little bites that when you press with your hands won't fall apart. If the mixture is too dry, add more coconut cream or coconut oil to combine it well.
  • Form your bites by using a spoon. I used around 2 tablespoons for one bite and got 20 bites in total.
  • Leave them in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. If you are in a hurry, pop them into the freezer for half an hour and they are ready to serve!
  • If you are using the coconut butter frosting, spread it on every bite evenly. Or feel free to use any frosting of your choice.
