High-Protein Pineapple Smoothie for Weight Loss

This pineapple smoothie is a real tropical, summer treat. It is very refreshing especially in summer, and yet balanced with all the nutritional values that will keep you full and full for a long time.

Did you know that pineapple contains enzymes that help the digestive system to do its job easier? If you have digestive problems or a feeling of bloating during the day – pineapple can really help with that.

One trick I like to do is buy a pineapple, cut it into smaller cubes and freeze it in freezer bags. This way it will not be expensive for me, and + makes the smoothies thicker and richer.

I also added boiled and frozen cauliflower to this smoothie. If you’ve never heard why I use cauliflower in my smoothies, in short:  because it adds volume without adding extra sugars, and it has no taste and smell, so you will not even feel it in the drink.

By the way, the protein I use here is always vegan protein. Whey proteins, which are the most popular on our market, simply do not suit my body. They cause bloating, gas and discomfort to my stomach. This is a very common occurrence when using whey protein, so if you find yourself using it and having similar issues, I recommend you to switch to a vegan protein that does not contain dairy products in it.

If you have a favorite protein that you use, feel free to use it in this recipe.
