Dairy-Free Coffee Smoothie for Weight Loss (Tastes Amazing)

This super smooth coffee smoothie tastes like a nice cup of fancy coffee from a coffee shop! Coming up with the recipe was life-changing for me! On one hand I’m taking my daily dose of caffeine, on the other – I am having a tasty and healthy smoothie in the morning! The best part? It’s dairy-free and paleo friendly.

If you thought this recipe contains bananas, you are wrong – actually as a combination coffee and banana don’t really go well together. As a substitute for bananas I used dates, and it turned out creamier than I thought!

What I love about this coffee smoothie is that it’s much lower in calories and is perfect for those on a low-calorie diet, or if you want to lose weight. It has around 10 grams of protein and around 6 grams of fiber, so have in mind that it will keep you full for longer hours.

Dairy-Free Coffee Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 6-8 medjool dates (pitted, and soft) (soak in water for 15 minutes if not they are not soft)
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp cashew butter
  • 2 cups baby spinach (optional)
  • 3 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients (except the ice cubes) in a blender. Blend well until the dates are broken down.
  • Add the ice cubes and blend again until creamy and milkshake-like consistency.
  • NOTE: For an extra coffee flavor use previously made coffee iced cubes, instead of regular iced cubes.
